There is a beautiful state park just 20 minutes away from Columbus . There are lots of mountain biking trails, and walking trails, but hiking the 0.7 miles around the little lake was more than enough for our family.

The nature walk was a dream come true for Lily as we were surrounded by butterflies. As one large butterfly came right by her face she said, "That boo-ful Bwutterfy is my friend! It gave me a high 5!" We also saw turtles, baby frogs (Lily was looking for their mommy the rest of the hike), ginormous dragon flies and lots of sticks. The sticks were Lily's personal favorite.
