January 2013

Christmas Night- she was a little in love with her "twirly" skirt from Grandma Jill. She refuses to wear anything but twirly skirts. "Princesses don't wear pants". I know I carry some of the blame, since I also dislike wearing pants. I just find skirts much more comfortable.

We did a co-op preschool last year with the Barrios girls, Hannah Hunt, Jack Lillywhite (lily had a major crush on his brother, Sam), and Christian Schmidt. Lily lived fot preschool days and I think she learned a bit too.

Lucy always thought that when preschool was held at our house, it was a party specially for her. The kids loved to play with her, a little too much, since she usually was trying to pull them out of whatever organized activity we were doing.

I love it when I catch them snuggling like this! They are beginning to play together more, now that Lucy is more interactive. Oh, and what is Lucy's hair doing? We used a whole lot of gel to make it stay down.

The girls wanted in on the baking fun.

Lucy and her mohawk. Her hair stands up on it's own, although in this picture it is starting to get long enough that it is weighed down a bit. But she refused to let me put hair elastics or bow of any kind in her hair for the longest time. I would put hair elastics in at least once a day, but they got pulled out within a minute. She got called a boy a lot. But it also kind of fit Lucy, not the being called a boy part - because she definitely has a cute little pixie face. But she is darling, feisty, and one of a kind.
