Lexi's First Week Home

First things first, after we picked Lily and Lucy up from the Mijango's is to set up Lucy's bed frame (thank you Debora for letting us borrow it for a year or so!)

All Lily wanted to do was hold her little sister, sing to her, read to her and kiss her "cute little face". 

Lucy surprised us and wanted to hold Lexi - she ignores her most of the time, but loves to help give her bottles and watch her poopy diaper get changed. 

Lucy was frustrated that Lexi's eyes were closed and so she sang her a song about opening her eyes and waking up.

Our baby robins were all grown up by the time we got home for the hospital - they flew away the next day.

Having Jordan home this first week has been heaven. It's better than vacation! He takes Lily and Lucy out each day for an outing such as the children's museum, swimming, the park, ect. The ward brought us delicious dinners this whole week, and so we didn't even have to worry about grocery shopping or doing many dishes. It was a great "family week" as we all bonded with our newest family member and I wouldn't change anything about it. Jordan technically gets 2 weeks of paternity leave - but he had to go back to work during the second week because nobody takes over for him while he gone - so there is still a job to get done and no one there to do it unless he's there. Luckily we don't have to use all his paternity leave at once and gets 6 months to use the leave.
