Happy Birthday To My 1 Year Old Lioness

Our original plan was to celebrate Lucy's birthday once we got back to Provo because then we could celebrate with our friends. Once we got settled in here, we discovered that we probably have more friends here in Columbus than in Provo (although not necessarily better or less than our friends in Provo)- so we thought it would be more fun to celebrate on the actual day of Lucy's birthday and then celebrate Lily's birthday with our Provo friends.

What are the odds? In my Provo ward, Rochelle was one of my favorite people. And now in my Columbus ward, her sister Rhandi is one of my favorite people. And they both were able to come to Lucy's birthday party!

Lily has finally gotten over her fear of other "Daddy's"! And Gary, who will be a great father someday, is her new favorite person. She didn't want me to come play with her, she wanted Gary and only Gary. Watch out Elisa, I think Lily might have a crush on your man. 

I resisted the strong urge to organize everybody and get a group shot, so although this is only about half, I'll take what I can get.

I love Kelli and Kayden! Kayden can have his pick of either of my girls - and Kelli frequently let's Jordan borrow her mountain bike so Jordan can go off to Brown County State Park and enjoy some man time with her hubby and some other good friends.

It wouldn't have been a true birthday party for Lucy without one of her favorite friends!

Lucy had a once in a life time opportunity to devour a cake and make as big of a mess as she wanted. And she wanted nothing to do with it. 

Jordan tried helping her get into the spirit of it by placing her on top of the cake - and then she just got mad.

Don't worry Lucy, Jordan got more frosting on my face on our wedding day than you got on your entire body.

Waste not - want not. Lucy's loss became Lily's gain.

It took 2 days but Lily finally allowed the idea that it was just Lucy's birthday and not Lucy AND Lily's birthday. She had a blast celebrating her baby sister's special day.

Lily is of the mind frame that you mush give a push and then run away as fast as possible.
