Just Telliss

As today was the opening ceremonies for the winter Olympics in Russia, I was trying to explain to Lily what the Olympics are. I started with summer Olympics and running races because she's been in running races and understands that. Then I went to winter Olympics and said that they do winter sports. Her response, "Oh, so they see who builds the best snowman?"

A first in child history went down today. The girls used Starbursts, jelly beans and sprinkles to decorate pictures today, and not one candy was eaten in the process.

A first in the Elliss household. We ran several errands today and not once did Lucy kick her shoes off in the car. That meant no standing out in the freezing cold for me just to put her shoes back on.
