Family Bonds

Signing Time bonding! Lily moved down from the sofa to sit by Lucy when she saw Lucy's concern for the sad teddy bear. If I could draw your attention away from the darling girls in the picture to noticed the duckies in the flip flop to the right of Lily :)

Lunch Time Bonding! Even if Lucy doesn't like eating, she loves to distract everyone else while they're eating - usually by pulling your plate to the floor.

Little Girlies

I love to watch my little girlies play together, and I love to see them in their pajamas! They already adore each others company. This was an evening last February when Jordan was gone for the night. Lily brought over some of her "friends" to share with Lucy.

Sometimes Lily is great about sharing with her baby Lucy

And other times? Well, I guess that's why younger siblings learn to crawl so much sooner.

Sometimes I wonder if Lily still thinks we brought Lucy home as her toy. Either way, she calls her little sister, "My baby Lucy" and still loves to hold her in her lap and hug and kiss her.
Sometimes she grits her teeth and the muscles in her body tense up as she says, "You're SO CUTE!" or "Oh, I love you!" as if her little body just can't contain the cuteness!

Pictures From My Phone

"I feeding Dollie"

We love the library! She can pound on that keyboard as much as she wants and won't do any damage. Also, she learns about Dragons!

On the way to Grandma's house last December

Doing dishes isn't such a chore with these two helpers (not to mention a dishwasher).

Off to the park for a picnic yesterday.

The Diaper Dance

Let me take you on a journey of a typical Lucy "Blow Out". While this is a larger scale poop explosion, it is no where close to being her worst.

We were getting all of us ready on morning, when I smell something stinky. First I check Lily as, odds are, it's her (for every 7 Lily poopy diapers, Lucy has one). After seeing that she's clean, I notice that not only is Lucy suddenly very happy, but the smell is very distinctly, "Lucy".

I pick her up, and the first thing I notice is the spot left on the bed where she was laying.

Then we take her to the changing table and this is what I find.
While you were reveling in the nastiness, you probably did not notice the darling fat rolls on her thighs!

"P U! Stinky Bum!!"

Lily stands by her sister, no matter how stinky.

All clean!

And now it's Mama's turn to get a change of clothes after that bath!

So, the next time I tell you I was late or didn't get something done because Lucy had a "blow out", I hope you understand that I am not just giving a lame excuse. These diaper changes can take up to an hour!

Happy Feet

Lucy's a professional feet clapper! She can clap her hands, but she prefers to clap her feet when she's happy.

Lucy woke up from nap time long before her sister one day in January, so we decided to have a little photo shoot. Shocking, I know.

I would like to state that her sweater is technically a boys sweater. However, I bought it because I loved the blue coloring.

I always hear Arial, the Little Mermaid, singing when I see this picture. "Ahhhhaaahhhhhaaaa."

She has such big eyes! She can win any staring contest.
 Look who's rolling over!!!

The Best Morning Ever!

Yesterday I woke up before the girls, showered and dressed in a comfortable skirt and sweater. Then I remembered what I had on my plate for the day: babysitting 2 different times, potty training Lily, it was also bathroom cleaning day, and the girls needed baths in the am instead of the usual pm time (both my girls love to "swim", splashing me generously in the processes). I subsequently changed into more appropriate clothing, clean pajamas. My life isn't glamorous, but I love it.

My morning usually starts off on a good foot. However, the other day, it was perfect.

I woke up (at 7:30 am) to a sweet little girl standing next to me saying:

And snuggling for a few minutes, she offered our morning prayer. The body of which was, "Please bless my Mommy, and my Daddy, and my Baby Lucy."

Just after that finished we heard Lucy cooing from her crib. There are few things in this world that melt my heart like the sunshine that comes over Lucy's face when she sees me in the morning.

I love my family.

Lily Shaking Her Groove Thing

Dancing is a favorite past time for all members of our family!

As much as I laugh when I watch this video, the sad reality is that we taught her everything she knows.

Lily's second family

We all went up to Justin and AJ's to celebrate New Years Day, and sometime during the evening I realized I couldn't find Lily. I looked up stairs and downstairs. Finally, I asked Justin and AJ, who happened to be watching a movie, if they had seen her. They promptly replied that she had been snuggling with them for quite some time. I looked over and sure enough, there she was, with her favorite family.

The Tea Party To Which You Wish You Were Invited

The Oscars are for want-to-be celebrities who wish they were cool. You know you've truly hit the big time when you've been invited to Lily & Lucy's tea parties. Let's take a look at the latest one and see what celebrities popped in for this powerful duet's most recent get-together.
Madmoselle Minou Chat flew in from Paris on her private jet to  have a tet-a-tet with our fashionista Lucy and get a jump start on tomorrows trends.

Along with the rising stars, Lily is also chummy with long time stars, such as world's most beloved couple- Mr. & Mrs. Mickey Mouse.

Lily was a perfect hostess, as always.

Patience Lucy, one day you too will have the opportunity to be the head hostess for your parties. However, until you can walk, it's okay to let Lily do the pouring.

Any hostess would be absolutely embarrassed to have less than 3 outfits for a tea party. Dinner parties require 5.

Lily kicking back and enjoying some of her own herbal tea once the guests had left. Being the top socialite is exhausting.
